The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it can be alarmed regarding the higher number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is sassa status due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company stage made for intervention experiences a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it challenging with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to allow the servicing of all buyers and raise access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
